My Newest Babies...

This is Baby Pan... at least I think so, lol, by the looks of it's budding horns. I just put my hands to the clay and this is what happened. It's yet to be fired, so hope it turns out.

This is just some primitive being that came out of my head. The bits across the top of it's head are pieces of glass that will melt and drip, hopefully, down the sides of it's head. I hope it turns out, too.

As the inner turmoil has been subsiding, these are the things that have been forming. It's so peaceful inside, when I'm sitting and making them.

Who knows... perhaps this new loss of job will allow me the time to develop my artistic side.

The pics were taken inside Madpotter's pottery, and those are his pieces around mine.

They say we all have an artistic side if only we could let it out. I'm glad you have some time to work with clay. It is a form of meditation. You never know what may come of it.
Enjoy the time.

It certainly is a form of meditation. I hope to enjoy it for as long as I can. Thanks for stopping in, Matty.

WOW!! That is so creative! I'm sorry about your job...it must be hard. But you are doing a very positive thing for yourself...that must be an amazing feeling. Good luck to you!

Wow! Thanks, Lisa! Seeing as this is all new to me, it feels really good getting some positive feedback on my little babies. We had hoped to fire them this weekend, but it looked like rain... now it's bright and shiney outside... but, it takes like 36 hours of firing, in a wood fired kiln, so too late to fire this weekend. Looks like I will be having plenty of spare time, in the meantime, to help with firings any day of the week.

Hope you are doing well and that everyone is still taking very good care of you!

Hello, Oberon... welcome. Yeah, yellin's not workin'. I've always liked that slow-mo water pic... if you look at it just right, at first glance, it looks like a lion's mane.
