I posted the first pic of Obama (below/Change) when I was watching the returns. Hope was rising in my heart, elation was nearly bursting forth.
I posted the second pic (above the first/Hope) when the announcement had been made.
Oh, the Joy!
I don't know what to expect, but I felt the rush that ran across the Nation's heart.
There has been some concern for the fact that so much is being made of the fact that he is black. I have feared that too much emphasis on that fact (which is not really why we voted him in) that this will cause fear and darkness to rise up in the ignorant, and unleash hell.
On the other hand, there was no way the elation felt, by many, for his color, was going to be held back. In fact, one might speculate that every slave in the grave probably rose from those graves, to help sing the victory song, and dance the victory dance.
Have we arrived?
We rode in the country today, looking at the leaves, feeling the season... of change. We didn't listen to music, instead we listened to the opinions, as we rode, of those expressing their thoughts on the new day that had just dawned.
We heard nothing new, that we hadn't already heard, or already thought.
No, this is not a miracle, it's a sign of the times, however. And I do believe, I do have faith.
I am not a pessimist, I am an optimist.
What do we have to lose, if we believe?
What do we have to lose, if we do not?
We can't move forward, if we aren't aimed in that direction.
We can't aim in that direction, if we are determined to sink before we even set sail.
We will surely fail, if we do not set sail.
What other direction is there to head, but forward?
I get angry when, in the midst of our new day, others are spouting doubts.
I like to remain positive. It keeps the fear away.
Fear is the opposite of Love.
Peace & Love...

Amen!
Enough of the grim suppressors.
Let us dance and rejoice,
For surely if this is not freedom...
then it is one huge, giant leap towards it,
Love and light, M
Thank you, Maithri, for always keepin' the faith!
