I reach for Firey Redness that stretches towards me
Across the Sky... and it warms my bones like a Breath
Blown across hot coals, that have burned,
Since the Beginning of Time.
I turn to the South...And embrace the innocence,
Of this New Beginning,
Which I first drew from the Dawn's Bright Sun.
Eager and running in child-like expectation,
As I feel the soft wet of the Dew in the Grass...
Working it's way between my toes...
Just before it dries.
And I step towards the Laughter in my Soul,
And the New Growth that has sprouted in my Heart.
I turn to the West...
And join with this place,
Where the Sun goes down.
Where the Darkness comes down,
Like a shade in the Night,
Blocking all things from Sight.
I think of the Morning
When the Dawn crept in...
And the Brightness of the Day,
When the Sun Shone Bright.
And I sleep thru the Night of the Day,
Which has passed,
Reveling in wonder of All...
And waiting for what Dreams will bring.
I awake and turn to the North...
Remembering all that I have sought,
And all that I have learned,
From the Wisdom of those,
Who have passed before me.
And I extend my arms into the Sky...
And give thanks for a chance to start anew...
As I turn and Greet the Morning, once again.
Written by me... many years ago.
